To some degree, I feel like I am talking to the wind. Does anybody have any ideas on how to boost readership of this site? Or discussion on it?

Not a lot of ideas for you, but I'm happy to confirm that you do have readers out here!
The low sodium recipes are great and I've shared your page with my dad who's on a sodium restricted diet and is gradually getting more bold about experimenting with doing his own cooking.
